What I love most about shooting here is the immediate access to the Rivington countryside. - The Last Drop Village Hotel & Spa: Located right on the edge of the Pennine Moors, this venue offers brilliant logistics and open spaces, allowing a large number of guests to easily mingle while I capture the unforced, documentary action from the sidelines.

While the city's southern boroughs offer leafy suburbs and urban energy, Bolton delivers something far more dramatic — the raw, sweeping beauty of the West Pennine Moors dropping down into a proud, historic mill town. For documentary wedding photography, that combination of rugged landscape and gritty industrial character creates images with a scale and atmosphere that are hard to replicate anywhere else.
The Rivington and Belmont area, just north of the town, is where Bolton's landscape truly takes your breath away. Rivington Pike — the ancient hilltop beacon tower visible from miles around — has been a symbol of the borough for centuries. The terraced gardens at Rivington, originally designed by Thomas Mawson for Lord Leverhulme, wind up through the hillside offering stunning views across Lancashire and beyond.
